Firestone Complete Auto Care

The store in Altoona did a great job both times my car has been in in the last month. First was for radiator replacement second, today, was just an oil change. They’re very straight forward with all info needed and it doesn’t feel like you’re being ripped off like a lot of auto shops. I would personally say it’s a tad overpriced but they can’t control that. Kudos to Altoona Firestone for the great service!

I took my Subaru Forester to them for an alignment after strut replacement over the weekend. I asked them to check my air conditioning because it was not cooling well. When I picked up my vehicle, the bill was nearly $400 and all they had done was the alignment and replacement of the cabin filters. They said the measured they temperature of the air coming and it was at 50°, so it should be fine. At the bottom of the receipt they said we declined an alignment check, and an AC performance check. We didn't decline anything! It wasn't! Fast forward to the present date and I finally got fed up and took it to another shop that determined my coolant level was low. The evacuated the system and recharged it for under$200.00. Needless to say I will NOT be going back to this store and will make sure nobody I know goes there!

My son came in there and bought new tires and Suzanne helped him and she did an awesome job getting him in the right tires and also advised him he needed an oil change and some cabin filters. I was happy she took the time to make sure his vehicle was great driving condition. She did not need oversell him. I appreciate you Suzanne!!

Thank You! I Needed a tire fixed and was in and out quickly. Super nice GM and the tech pointed out a concern he had with the tire (I was aware of it) but it was great to know he cared enough to point it out. I’ll be back for new ones when the time comes.

My family has used Firestone for years. Most of our experiences were 5 star, until this location opened. Nothing but incompetence and poor service. Our first experience involved tires being installed incorrectly. And now we have an engine oil cap that was not put back on leading to a huge mess. Engine is now knocking. When we let them know they said what do you want us to do about it, call the 800 corporate number and file a complaint. Well, it was the same thing they said with the tire incident and nothing happened. Beware this place.
